ICON Park honors first responders on the 20th anniversary of 9/11

Commemorating the 20th anniversary of 9/11, ICON Park honors the first responders who work endlessly every day to keep our communities safe.

From September 10-12, police officers, firefighters, and paramedics will be able to ride ICON Park’s signature attraction, The Wheel, for free to show appreciation for their service. Also, the families of these valued guests will receive a 50% discount on the ride on The Wheel.

The 400-foot observation wheel in the American flag pattern will be lit all weekend, with 64,000 LED lights glowing in red, white and blue. “We are very grateful to the men and women who gave everything to protect them,” said Chris Gaskevich, President and CEO of ICON Park. “As we reach this important anniversary, ICON Park wants to show our appreciation and gratitude to those who serve.”

ICON Park is located in the center of the International Drive resort area and the Orlando Entertainment District. With free parking and located near I-4, Universal Boulevard, and Beachline, this premier entertainment complex is easy to access for any Central Florida resident or Orlando tourist.
