Blue Jays reach agreement with bowler Kevin Gusman

Toronto, ON The Toronto Blue Jays have reached an agreement with rightholder Kevin Gusman for a five-year, $110 million contract, pending physical examination, a person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press late Sunday.

The 30-year-old Gausman was 14-6 years old with a 2.81 ERA and 227 strikes in 192 Tours to San Francisco last season. He has a 64-72 and 4.02 ERA record in his career with Baltimore, Atlanta and San Francisco.

The Blue Jays were interested in Gusman last season, but he chose to bet on himself and stay with the Giants on a one-year deal. It paid off.

Blue Jays also signed rights holder Jose Berrios in a seven-year deal worth $131 million after getting it on the trade deadline. The two deals are the biggest promotion contracts in the team’s history.

Toronto has a budding young core and can add big contracts before young players like Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr earn their money. much more than that. The Toronto rotation also includes Hyun Jin Ryo and Alec Manoah.


The Blue Jays gave veteran defense player George Springer a six-year contract worth $150 million in their latest season.

Second baseman Marcus Simin left the Blue Jays earlier on Sunday to sign a seven-year deal with the Texas Rangers.
