Bocum coach Citadel collapses in Duke and taken to hospital

Durham, North Carolina Citadel coach Duggar Bowcombe has been taken to hospital after collapsing one minute in Monday night’s game against the 5th seed Duke.

Baucome was helped by medical staff and taken to Duke University Hospital, according to Castle.

The 61-year-old Bocum fell along the sideline with Duke leading 3-2 and left 18:57 in the first half. He was conscious because he was helped out of the gym.

Castle’s Hayden Brown scored an offensive rebound just before play was stopped for Bowcomb, who is in his seventh season at school.

Jack Castleberry, Associate Technical Director, took charge of The Citadel seat.
