Construction of the all-new Disney Wish cruise ship is nearing completion
Walt Disney Imagineering on Wednesday shared an update about the construction of its all-new cruise ship, Disney Wish.
The ship is currently scheduled to set sail for its maiden voyage from Port Canaveral on June 9, 2022.
The Imagineers said that over the past few months, the ship’s construction in Germany had reached several major milestones.

“After months of dedication and hard work, we were able to see the ship’s exterior together. Disney Wish is nearly complete from a construction standpoint! We continue to work on the interior fit-outs, cabin fixtures and commissioning of Walt Disney Imagineering Germany,” Philip Ginot, Director of Portfolio Project Management at Walt Disney Imagineering Germany on the blog. ships.”
Since its last update, the popular Disney Wish forward funnel, recent block section and “strict perforation” have all been installed.
In a time-lapse video, Disney shared the moments when the back was put into place in the construction yard.

Last weekend, during the D23 fan event at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney announced two all-new shows that guests will experience on board.
When guests board the new ship, they will be able to explore immersive Disney worlds including Frozen, Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes, and of course, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their pals.
