The annual “Stuff the Charger” statewide food drive returns to support local communities in the fight against hunger.
The Florida Department of Highway and Automobile Safety and its division of the Florida Highway Patrol will run the program through November 30, collecting non-perishable food donations for food banks across the state.
“Generation and kindness are gifts we can all share with one another this holiday season,” said Terry L. Rhodes, CEO of FLHSMV. “Showing care for your fellow neighbor can take many forms, and the eighth annual ‘Stuff the Charger’ food campaign is a way for Florida residents to give back to their communities and help provide relief to those who need it most.”
FHP partners with a network of local organizations whose mission is to provide food and educate communities to fight hunger. Individuals wishing to donate food can submit their contributions to any local FHP station.
