Oakland police said they were called to a home for a domestic violence investigation at 2:30 p.m. on November 13. Investigators said Stacey had already taken off from the scene before they arrived.
Oakland police said they have notified the Orange County Sheriff’s Office to look for Stacey. Representatives initially said the former professional soccer player had already left the state.
The victim told the police that she and Stacey had a child together. Records showed that she was letting him see the baby as an “olive branch” because they were currently mediating.
She said the husband started arguing and Stacey attacked her.
A surveillance video showing the attack was posted on social media. It shows a man hitting a woman and throwing her into a TV, then falling on her after she hits the ground. The police confirmed that this is the same video that the victim gave her and is being used in the investigation.
Stacey faces charges of aggravated battery and criminal corruption.
Stacy previously played with rams and jets.
The Harbor House of Central Florida said that anyone living in fear of domestic violence can call or text an attorney at 407-886-2856.
