National Shelter Appreciation Week runs from November 3-9, and there are many ways to show appreciation for what local shelters like your SPCA are doing for their communities.
Three seniors adopt, donate, and volunteer, according to the No Killing Shelter. Here are some special events planned for the coming days.
From November 3 to 5, proceeds from Rhapsody in Rhythm, at the Savannah Center, 7 p.m., will support your humanitarian community SPCA and Toys For Tots. Tickets are available at the Villages Box Bureau and thevillagesentertainment.com.
November 3, bring your pets for a photo shoot with Santa at VCA Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital, 748 Village Campus Circle in The Villages. Reserve your spot at 352-750-4711.
Visit Your Humane Society at the SPCA at Summer Fall Festival November 6, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., at Wildwood Community Center; November 12, Bicycle Show and Health Fair, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at Hacienda Rec. control center, villages; and Lady Lake Show on November 17, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Rolling Acres Road Football Field in Lady Lake.
As the oldest and largest non-killable private shelter in Sumter County, Your Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of neglected, abused and abandoned animals.
