Do you want to increase your employment opportunities? Scholarship funds may be available to help pay for healthcare and trades courses at the Sumter Center for Adults and Career Education.
The Center’s Certified Nursing Assistant Program allows participants to be ready for work within six weeks. Courses are held Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the Sumterville campus. They include BLS CPR, and an AHCA Level II background check is required.
HVAC courses are also available at Sumter Adult and Community Education Center.
ESL lessons are offered on the Sumterville campus and at the Oxford Assembly of God Church. Classes are held in the evening from 5-8 pm. Students must be 18 years of age or older. Classes are $30 per semester. Call 352-793-5719 for more information.
