Singer Marc Anthony gave the key to Orlando

In a peaceful transfer of power, Orlando city officials Tuesday night handed singer Marc Anthony the key to the city, putting the pop star in charge of the city government.

Just check to see if you’re paying attention. The honor was actually in recognition of Anthony’s charitable and charitable work that includes efforts with Maestro Cares, One Voice: Somos Live! and support forces abroad and at home.

Before Anthony’s all-out concert at the Amway Center Tuesday night, he met with a group of local officials including City Commissioner Tony Ortiz. The singer gave both the “Key to the City” and the announcement of the November 6, 2021 Marc Anthony Day in Orlando.

“I am grateful for the love and energy my Orlando fans give me every time I get to perform for them, and it is an honor to receive such recognition from a city that holds a special place in my heart,” Anthony said. One of the Orlando medals he received.
