Ticket prices for UCF football matches will increase due to the team’s move to the Big 12
Orlando, Florida. The University of Central Florida announced an increase in ticket prices for football matches at Bounce House.
The school said the upcoming move to the Big 12 was the reason for the increase.
“We need Knight Nation to help us prepare to compete on day one of the Big 12 Conference and the National Championships,” UCF said in a press release.

University officials said UCF is the smallest football school to play in the Power 5 Conference. A Power 5 team is a team that plays in the Southeast Conference, Atlantic Coast Conference, Big 12 Conference, Big 10 Conference, or PAC 12 Conference.
“Our previous scheduling philosophy tried to have a Power 5 home game every year. As we move into the Big 12, we will have at least four Power 5 home games each year,” the UCF said.
A non-Power 5 team has never made it to College Football Playoff.
The school said the lowest-cost season ticket option would go up by $150.
Currently, the UCF said the school is at the bottom of the Big 12 when it comes to revenue.
“To be competitive, we need to improve our facilities and everyday in-game amenities for student-athletes, coaches and fans,” the UCF wrote on its website.
Also at this time, it is not clear when the first season of UCF will be in the Big 12.
