UCF QB Dillon Gabriel says he’s entering the transfer portal
Florida midfielder Dillon Gabriel announced, Saturday, that he will enter the transfer window with the goal of playing elsewhere next season.
The UCF star has been sidelined since he fractured his collarbone against Louisville in Week 3 of the season.
“After much prayer and reflection, I’ve decided my UCF journey is over,” Dillon said on Twitter. “I will enter the transfer portal to explore other opportunities.”
Dillon passed 8,037 yards, 70 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions in his three seasons with the Musketeers. The left hand passed for 814 yards with nine touchdowns and three interceptions this season before injury.
Dillon passed 3653 yards and 29 touchdowns in 2019 and 3,570 yards and 32 points last season. The Hawaii native was intercepted seven times in 2019 and threw just four attempts in 413 attempts the following season.
Speculation has Ole Miss as a possible destination for Gabriel. Rebel star Matt Coral has indicated that he will enter the NFL draft after this season.
