The good news is that Christmas in the park and a veritable boatload of festive events in Winter Park is about to come to an end, and the bad news is that there are plenty of road closures coming during the first week of December.

If you’re going Christmas in the park on Thursday, December 2, beware that Park Avenue, between Canton Street and Morse Street, and Morse Street, between New York Streets and Park, is closed. These closures will be in effect from 2-9:30 p.m. Thursday.

Attendees at Winter on the Avenue must be notified Friday, December 3, that the closure will be in effect on Park Avenue, between W. Canton and Lyman Streets; Morse Boulevard, between S. Knowles and S. New York Streets;
Lincoln and E. Wellborn Roads. Between S.Nowles Avenue and S. Park. These are overnight hampers from Friday, 2pm through Saturday, December 4th, at noon when the Christmas Parade ends. Which leads us to…

The Christmas Parade at Ye Olde Hometown will see the aforementioned closings, as well as Park Avenue, between Webster and Comstock Roads; New York Street, between Canton and Webster Streets; New England Boulevard, between S. Virginia and S. Pennsylvania Avenues. Moreover
Park Avenue side streets along the parade route will be affected.

Consider biking, sharing rides, or even Amtrak.
